Climate:
The tropical rainforest is a hot, wet, humid place that is near the Equator. The average annual temperature is 77 degrees Fahrenheit and it never drops below 64 degrees.
Annual Rainfall:
In the rainforest, it rains over 250 centimeters. About 50% of this comes from evaporated water that came from the rainforest itself.
Local Wildlife:
The many layers of the rainforest shelter Bengal Bamboo, Bougainvilleas, Curare, Coconut Trees, the Durian, Jambu, Kapok Trees, Mangroves, Strangler Figs, and Tualangs. These along with other plants share a home with African Forest Elephants, Bengal Tigers, Chimpanzees, the Common Palm Civet, Dawn Bats, Golden Lion Tamarins, Harpy Eagles, Jambu Fruit Doves, King Cobras, Kinkajous, Linn's Sloths, Orangutans, Proboscis Monkeys, Red-shanked Douc Langur, Silvery Gibbons, the Slender Loris, the Sumatran Rhinoceros, Toco Toucans, Vampire Bats, and Wagler's Pit Vipers. There are many species left in the rainforest that are not yet discovered.
